Friday 30th June turned out to be a perfect day weather wise for Hemlow to take part in the JLL Property Triathlon. In its 11th year, this well-established triathlon by JLL was intended to raise money for their corporate charity of 2017 – Crisis.

For the first time, we had two teams taking part to raise money for our 2017 charity, Cancer Research UK. There was a mix of people with various job roles from across the company and with a broad age range and ability levels.

On arrival our team captains collected their race packs from registration and met up with their team members who all arrived fit, well and raring to go, and with a number of supporters with them.

First up was our fancy dress team, the Hemlow Quackers, with Laura swimming, John cycling and Samantha running.

“It was a great experience, everyone really got into the event. Looking forward to next year!”

Everyone achieved their personal target times making their hard work in training all the more worthwhile – and the celebratory drink at the end of the day very well deserved.

We’re planning on adding the JLL Property Triathlon to our annual fundraising calendar and doing it again next year.  Hopefully the great sense of achievement and enjoyment of the day had by all will encourage other employees to sign up and get training soon!
At the time of publishing this article we have raised over £1600 this year

Thank you Chris, Laura, Greg, Mark, John and Samantha!
