In 2019, we underwent a year of support by raising money for The Spinal Injuries Association, a charity which was put forward by Nina, whose family had been touched by Spinal Cord Injury. After a great 12 months of fundraising efforts, including the traditional JLL Property Triathlon, charity lunches and competitive bake sales, Team Hemlow managed to raise an incredible £3,000 for this excellent cause!

Entering a new year, it was time again to ask our team members to nominate a charity of their choice for 2020. All suggestions were put into a Hemlow hard hat, with two names being pulled out by Julie, our Purchase Ledger Supervisor.

Following a company vote between the final two, we are delighted to announce that we will be supporting The Campaign against Living Miserably (CALM). This charity are leading a movement against suicide – the single biggest killer of men under 45 in the UK and the cause of 18 deaths every day. They support anyone bereaved by suicide, or needing support with their mental health, running a free and confidential helpline and web chat, 7 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Fundraising efforts are already underway for CALM, as we are anticipating entries for the now traditional JLL Property Triathlon. We will be putting forward two relay teams and three individual Team Hemlow triathletes, getting ready to take on the challenge in June!
