Bigger-picture M&E planning to support your long-term building strategy
M&E plant replacement and upgrade work are the most significant investments you can make in your building. We’ll work with you to make sure that this investment is worthwhile and helps you realise your ambitions for the building.
There are different reasons why you might be considering plant replacement or upgrade work. One of the more common drivers is the change in use of a building. New tenants can have different requirements for the use of space, and you need to be able to meet these. The plant age, lifecycle of the building, and energy ratings and savings are also key drivers for equipment upgrades.
Building the business case for project work
We’ll work with you to advise on what needs to happen to make your buildings more efficient and future-ready. The first step is to carry out a condition report – something we’ll do at the beginning of of every contract – to identify equipment that needs upgrading. From there, we’ll put together an equipment replacement plan or work with your own equipment replacement plan.
Once we’ve identified what needs replacing, we’ll detail the associated benefits of replacing that equipment, including reductions in repair work and service costs, and energy-saving benefits. It’s about helping you build the best business case for the project and making sure all upgrades support your building strategy.
