Our Approach

It’s not just what we do but how we do it that matters. These are the four things that make Hemlow work.

We know our stuff

Maintenance isn’t an add-on. It’s all we do and we do it exceptionally well. Everyone who works here knows maintenance inside out – from our MD to our admin team. Learning is at the heart of our approach. We’re the only M&E company to employ a full-time in-house trainer and externally accredit our internal training modules. Our industry-leading CPD training equips clients with the knowledge they need to make well-informed decisions about their buildings.

We do what we say we’re going to do

We don’t oversell or over promise. We do what’s needed when it’s needed. Put simply, we get the job done, whatever it takes and we make sure you’re kept informed every step of the way –  great communication is as important to us as technical excellence.

We care about people

We know that this is a business about people and that our success is only as strong as the relationships we build with each other. We take time to develop working relationships that are positive and productive. We take our own people’s development seriously too and are proud to have built a culture where people grow with us and stay with us. We were founded not just to create profit but to create livelihoods and this is something that still drives us.

We’re a team

We work as a 100-strong team. There are no silos or separate departments. What this means for you is that you’re never more than a phone call away from the person you need to talk to – whether that’s your site maintenance engineer or contract manager. We work closely with your people too, becoming as much a part of your team as possible.
